Challis, Idaho — On August 10th through the 12th, the picturesque town of Challis, Idaho will host thousands of visitors from around the country and the globe for the annual Braun Brothers Reunion Festival. A family-friendly event for the music enthusiast, the BBR brings both well-loved and up and coming artists together with their fans in an unparalleled natural setting for three unforgettable days.
The BBR began in 1979 in Stanley, Idaho as a record release party, and although it has grown to a multi-day event attended by thousands, it still maintains its uniqueness as a festival that feels like a family gathering. Hosted since its inception by Muzzie and Joann Braun and the Braun family (including sons Cody and Willy from Reckless Kelly and Gary and Micky from Micky and the Motorcars), the BBR is recognized as a destination festival where music lovers gather to hear their favorite artists, as well as new favorites, experience community, and celebrate the beauty that is Idaho, with numerous activities, such as hiking, canoeing, golfing, and visiting the Challis Hot Springs, to fill your day while awaiting the evening’s music.
Throughout its history, the community stage of the BBR has consistently featured the finest performers in the Texas, Red Dirt, Roots, and Americana genres and the 2017 line-up is no exception. Featuring returning festival favorites such as Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers, Turnpike Troubadours, and Cody Canada and the Departed as well as first timers including The Dirty River Boys, Blue Water Highway, and Ned LeDoux, the music begins at designated times during the day and continues well after the sun sets. View the complete lineup and schedule below.
